Located close to the mighty Drakensberg mountain range, west of the Kruger National Park, this ethnic bush retreat lies in the Gravelotte area of the Limpopo Province of South Africa. Nestled on 22 000 hectares of conservancy, Makalali prevails as one of thefinest game lodges in the world.
Four exclusive camps, each consisting of six spacious suites adjacent to a stilted Sala set amongst Jackalberry trees, are equipped with all the modern conveniences you could wish for . Conferencing
Makalali is fully equipped as a conference venue, and conference facilities include a group entertainment, conference and dining area. A luxurious 60 seat thatch-covered main building is accompanied by an open kitchen and entertainment area surrounding flame torches that create a MYSTICAL AND FIERY AFRICAN AMBIENCE.
Team Building
The Makalali Team Building program has been designed to accommodate smaller group that want to have fun together, but at the same time increase the efficiency of their teamwork. All our activities are within the capabilities of the average healthy person, but definitely require a group effort to ensure their successful completion. When booking such a program, a SPECIALISED TEAM BUILDING ITINERARY will be put together. This will allow your group of party the opportunity to experience the magic of Makalali by participating in the various game viewing activities.
To ensure the success of such a team building effort, we suggest that you stay at our lodge for at least three nights. This will allow you at least two full days to complete the program and ensure a more flexible itinerary.
Makalali offers a group entertainment / conference centre situated at Tandane camp. The centre consists of a unique thatch-covered main building, an open kitchen and entertainment area. Flame torches create a mystical and fiery African ambience at night.
Attractions
Makalali is the ideal safari destination, with activities including game drives in open Land Rovers accompanied by professional game ranges and trackers, photographic excursions, bird-watching safaris and tribal dancing, are all available on a daily basis. Makalai Private Game Lodge is only an hour’s drive west of the Kruger National Park. Makalali also offers a range of unique activities including:
